A MATCH LIT OVER THE CULTIVATED SOIL OF THE MIDWEST

WEATHER REPORT: Historic hot days have led to the drought in the region. Dry grown is the perfect environment for fire cultivation practices. The field was lit and the fire burned. By Tuesday afternoon we had an unexpected rain. The usual will never be usual again.

Teams prepared. The table was set. The food was out. "It was the grace of God the whole Vineyard saw us eat." To quote the vision shared on July 17th, in the small hotel suite.

Sunday Night October 20th, we set the table in the natural and supernatural) for our region and surrounding areas for the start of our Regional Gathering.

Mike led in humor and humility as he welcomed people into our home.

Holy Spirit Night was filled. From the stage with the choir and regional team to the expectant swell in the room. Holy Spirit moved and began the tilling process. At the start of Monday, it was clear that although this Gathering was planned far before, we saw the

"signs" that something was "afoot" far greater than a regional conference as usual.

•From Christina Lowery to Mark Pope, the emphasis on the new believers coming was an echo in the halls of our newly opened preschool. A timely reminder to "pick up the baby" will prove to be a marker for our next 30 years. As the workshops began, the impending wave was fast approaching.

We will wait. Will the region wait? Do they want a wave? A better question was proven true. What if this isn't our dream to see but rather God's?

A resounding yes. Without much hesitation, the renewal wave spread. Renewal in the Midwest.

A quote we heard several months before this all began.

We have grown in trust. Trusting first and foremost, God to be God and do God-sized things. He needs no, manipulation to move nor prodding to provide. Who he has been we will always be. The God who revives is still reviving. The who heals is still healing. The God who creates is still creating. We have grown in our trust in God.

"Everyone gets to play" is a trademark of our movement and in our own house this statement has never been more true. From the camera work of John Cicioria, the kitchen crew, the plans, the setlists and singers, the production), the flag bearer, the hospitality, the care, the bartenders (in all the senses lol) to the preachers, the teachers, the catchers, the dreamers, to the "T'll have another drinkers" the body of Christ in fullness.

We are a team growing in trust. Way to go team. "Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good., For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various, kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills."
